Kids Marathon

Published January 9, 2017 by Bingo's Mom

I hope you all remember the marathon that I and Maya participated. Since then I am part of Hyderabad runners group. In our apartment also there are many enthusiastic who are practicing everyday and time to time we get mail about marathons. Like that I received a mail about marathon for kids. I was so excited and immediately forwarded it to BD and I enrolled Bingo for it. Actually it’s of three categories first is for kids under 24 months (1K – parents has to carry the kids or take them in stroller), second is for kids aged between 2 to 8 years (2K) and the third is for kids aged between 8 to 15 years (5K).

I was so tempted to take baby A as well. Bingo was so excited too. She went along with BD and came back with a medal and loads of stories to tell. Here are some pictures of her first marathon:

Ermm.. Hair Post

Published January 8, 2017 by Bingo's Mom

Yes, I am not going to leave you because for the first time in life I cut my hair ~this~ much short. That means I will talk about it at least for a month.

So, my cut hair is going to some cancer patient and I am glad about it. Also, I dared to cut my hair short after got influenced(?!) by her.

Here is a picture of how much hair I had before chopping it off.

Hair

Talking about hair, BD started growing his beard for the reason unknown to me. Also, he is more health conscious now. He almost stopped consuming dairy products. Drinks lemon honey mixed with hot water in the morning. He lost about 4 kg in 2 months. Now he is exactly looking like a skeleton.

I don’t know how to end this post hence, ending like this.

Cloth Diapering – Part 1

Published January 7, 2017 by Bingo's Mom

Where to start? Mmmm… I started using cloth diapers for baby A recently. The main reason why we (BD and I) went for Cloth Diaper is, it is eco-friendly. For the past one year we are trying to reduce our plastic usage in our lives. And the second reason is money. Though the cloth diaper is cheaper than normal diaper, I don’t find much difference.

I first searched few mommy bloggers who use cloth diapers asking absolutely nonsense questions. Few replied and many didn’t. Then I remembered our own Tharani is using cloth diaper for ZAM. Yes yes… kaila vennai and all that. I started asking many questions to her and I can’t tell you how sweet she is that she replied each question and even sent one demo video. Muah Tharani. Special mention to Sri as well. She actually went to shop and checked the varieties of cloth diapers and sent me pictures and voice notes explaining the same. How cool is that no?

To start with, I bought two diapers. Let me explain you the variety of cloth diapers that I know.

  1. All in one (AIO)
  2. All in two (AIT)
  3. Pocket diapers
  4. Sewn diapers

And the inserts are

  1. Microfiber
  2. Charcoal
  3. Hemp
  4. Bamboo

As you all know very well about me there will be two more posts explaining the above 😀

Bingo

Published January 5, 2017 by Bingo's Mom

I am writing this right after reading Maya’s post.

Few days back I was doing multitasking of feeding baby A and doing laundry and folding previous day’s cloths and chopping vegetables for dinner and boiling milk for Bingo and clearing up the mess around AND trying to put baby A to sleep. Bingo came to me and asked to help her doing in doing some craft. I repeatedly told her to wait and I went on with my work.

She waited for almost one hour and again came calling me where I was trying to put baby A to sleep (She was refusing to sleep for the reason known to her). When Bingo came inside, the half slept baby A woke up fully and started to cry. I lost my mind and started shouting at both of them. Yes, both of them. Baby A for not sleeping and Bingo for calling me again and again.

I shouted saying I can’t manage both of you anymore. I have lots of work. Whom do you think will finish everything and blah blah. Bingo went quietly to the living room. In about 2 minutes I felt really bad and went to her. I sat next to her keeping baby A in my lap.

I said sorry to Bingo and explained her politely that I have few works to finish and then I would come and help her. She smiled at me and asked politely, ‘mummy, it’s very hard for you to manage both of us no? Shall I go to P’s house and stay with them?’ Tears started rolling out of my eyes. I felt very bad for making her to think like that.

Though she forgot everything in next few minutes, I am still feeling guilty. We are sure blessed with amazing kids. It’s up to us to take care of those precious little souls.
