Green moong / black channa / white channa / pea nuts (any one. Recipe is same for all) – 2 cups (soak for 6 – 8 hours. For peanuts 3 hours of soaking is enough)
Pressure cook with 4 cups of water and 2 teaspoon of salt until soft. Drain and keep aside.
Heat a teaspoon of oil in a kadai or tadka pan. Add mustard; let it splutter. Add urad dhal and once it turns pink switch off and add two strings of curry leaves. Pour this to cooked and drained green moong / black channa / white channa. Add grated coconut as per your wish. mix them together and offer it to god and then eat it.
