Atta Laddu Recipe

This is Bingo’s most favorite sweet. Initially I used to make in bulk but, now-a-days I am making it whenever required. I don’t measure the ingredients. I am giving a rough measurement here. 


Atta – 3/4 cup

Sugar – Little less than 1/2 cup

Melted ghee – As required 

Badam and cashew (optional) – 10 nos. each 


Dry roast the atta till it starts fuming. Do it in a low flame and stir continuously otherwise it will get burnt easily. Powder the sugar and nuts separately.

Mix atta, sugar powder and nuts powder together. Ad ghee little by little and make a crumbly mix and make laddu out of this mixture. Store in an air tight container and savour.

  • Adding nuts powder is optional. Bingo does not eat nuts and dry fruits as it is so, I hide them in powdered form in her food.

  • Adding ghee is according to one’s preference. I add extra ghee for easy formation of laddu. 

  • You can add powdered edible gum (gaund??) as well into this laddu. It is good to consume edible gum during winter as it will induce body heat. But, more than two laddus are not advisable at a time. In that case, we can drink a cup of milk to cool the body. (this is applicable only if we add edible gum).
