This is one of the simplest sweets recipe I have learnt. The success of the recipe lies in ghee, I guess. Also, it is very easy to remember the measurement.
Milk – 4 cups
Sugar – 2 cups
Ghee – 1 cup + 3tbs
Rava (roasted) – 1/2 cup
Cashew Nuts (broken) – 2 tbs
Fry the cashews with a spoon of ghee till golden brown and keep aside. Mix all the ingredients (except cashews) together in a pan (I used cooker bottom). Bring it to boil and then simmer. Keep stirring once in two minutes. Cook till the mixture thickens. Turn off the heat and mix the roasted nuts and 3 table spoons of ghee. Will be good for 2 to 3 days when refrigerated.
Note ~ I used to check it by taking 1 tsp from the mixture (when I feel it is done) separately and see the consistency once it cools down.
