This is one of the simplest sweets recipe I have learnt. The success of the recipe lies in ghee, I guess. Also, it is very easy to remember the measurement.
Milk – 4 cups
Sugar – 2 cups
Ghee – 1 cup + 3tbs
Rava (roasted) – 1/2 cup
Cashew Nuts (broken) – 2 tbs
Fry the cashews with a spoon of ghee till golden brown and keep aside. Mix all the ingredients (except cashews) together in a pan (I used cooker bottom). Bring it to boil and then simmer. Keep stirring once in two minutes. Cook till the mixture thickens. Turn off the heat and mix the roasted nuts and 3 table spoons of ghee. Will be good for 2 to 3 days when refrigerated.
Note ~ I used to check it by taking 1 tsp from the mixture (when I feel it is done) separately and see the consistency once it cools down.
When we danced for this song, we have become famous overnight in our college. Our senior who ragged us on the first day came to meet us personally to congratulate and of course we got the first price in the competition.
and this, what can I say, has brought huge name for us and we performed it repeatedly in various functions.
for this song, for the first time we rented out costumes (otherwise, we stitch based on our dance). The song was suggested by our professor.
and this we danced in an inter-college competition and we managed to get consolation prize.
and this is the last song for which I danced on stage.
… for which I danced. BD refused to believe that I used to dance in my School and college, in spite of showing some photos. hmpf.
The very first song I danced was for Christmas day celebration. The song starts with ‘mangala naal indru mangala naal’. I could not get the video / audio of the song online.
Second is for Teacher’s day celebration:
Third is for annual day:
Fourth is for farewell day:
Tomorrow it shall be the songs for which I danced in college.
I have given the link or BD’s song because of its thumbnail 🙂
