Vetti Thoughts

Published March 3, 2017 by Bingo's Mom

The process of putting baby A to sleep will take from 10 minutes to 30 minutes. Sometimes I think about what to prepare for next meal. Sometime about Bingo. Sometimes about my thoppai. Sometimes about my career AND if there is any time left, I will think about BD. Very rarely I listen to music.

One of those rare situation happened yesterday and I was listening to ‘maya machindra’ and there started this vetti thought. About Shankar. Director Shankar. About his poor casting of actors in his films. I always wondered, being one of the top directors in the industry, what will be the problem for him to fix proper actors for his script. See this:

Jeans – Aishwarya ok but Prashant?

Indian – Kamal ok but Manisha and Urmila?

Mudhalvan – Arjun ok but Manisha?

Boys – No comments

Anniyan – Vikram ok but Sadha?

Sivaji – Thalaivar (No questions here) ok but Shreya?

Nanban – Again no comments.

Endhiran – Thalaivar (No comments again) but Aishwarya?

I – Vikaram ok but Amy?

2.0 – Again Amy.

Why Shankar saar? Why?

P.S. While writing this, one more interesting thought came to my mind (yes, I am THAT vetti. Thank you.)

Shankar initially went on choosing Maniratnam’s heroine.

Madhubala – Roja – Gentleman

Aishwarya – Iruvar – Jeans

Manisha – Bombay – Indian

With that today’s mokkai is over. Let’s meet again when I get thought-provoking post like this.

Kids Marathon

Published January 9, 2017 by Bingo's Mom

I hope you all remember the marathon that I and Maya participated. Since then I am part of Hyderabad runners group. In our apartment also there are many enthusiastic who are practicing everyday and time to time we get mail about marathons. Like that I received a mail about marathon for kids. I was so excited and immediately forwarded it to BD and I enrolled Bingo for it. Actually it’s of three categories first is for kids under 24 months (1K – parents has to carry the kids or take them in stroller), second is for kids aged between 2 to 8 years (2K) and the third is for kids aged between 8 to 15 years (5K).

I was so tempted to take baby A as well. Bingo was so excited too. She went along with BD and came back with a medal and loads of stories to tell. Here are some pictures of her first marathon:

Ermm.. Hair Post

Published January 8, 2017 by Bingo's Mom

Yes, I am not going to leave you because for the first time in life I cut my hair ~this~ much short. That means I will talk about it at least for a month.

So, my cut hair is going to some cancer patient and I am glad about it. Also, I dared to cut my hair short after got influenced(?!) by her.

Here is a picture of how much hair I had before chopping it off.

Talking about hair, BD started growing his beard for the reason unknown to me. Also, he is more health conscious now. He almost stopped consuming dairy products. Drinks lemon honey mixed with hot water in the morning. He lost about 4 kg in 2 months. Now he is exactly looking like a skeleton.

I don’t know how to end this post hence, ending like this.

Cloth Diapering – Part 1

Published January 7, 2017 by Bingo's Mom

Where to start? Mmmm… I started using cloth diapers for baby A recently. The main reason why we (BD and I) went for Cloth Diaper is, it is eco-friendly. For the past one year we are trying to reduce our plastic usage in our lives. And the second reason is money. Though the cloth diaper is cheaper than normal diaper, I don’t find much difference.

I first searched few mommy bloggers who use cloth diapers asking absolutely nonsense questions. Few replied and many didn’t. Then I remembered our own Tharani is using cloth diaper for ZAM. Yes yes… kaila vennai and all that. I started asking many questions to her and I can’t tell you how sweet she is that she replied each question and even sent one demo video. Muah Tharani. Special mention to Sri as well. She actually went to shop and checked the varieties of cloth diapers and sent me pictures and voice notes explaining the same. How cool is that no?

To start with, I bought two diapers. Let me explain you the variety of cloth diapers that I know.

  1. All in one (AIO)
  2. All in two (AIT)
  3. Pocket diapers
  4. Sewn diapers

And the inserts are

  1. Microfiber
  2. Charcoal
  3. Hemp
  4. Bamboo

As you all know very well about me there will be two more posts explaining the above 😀
